Michael Buble and Celine Dion performed “Happy Xmas” on Thursday’s “Michael Buble’s Christmas In Hollywood” special. Watch below!
This marks the fifth year NBC has aired a Buble holiday special, following 2014’s “Michael Bublé’s Christmas in New York.” The annual hour-long program is designed to celebrate the season, and each edition has featured the crooner and a bevy of special guests for one-time only performances. This year, Buble enlisted Tori Kelly, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and Dion.
Buble and Dion teamed up for a moving duet of John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas.” The superstar admitted it’s been a while since she’s sung the track, which she noted she first recorded as a cover in 1998. Dion also did a solo performance of “O Holy Night” earlier in the broadcast.
In addition to the performances, “Christmas In Hollywood” also included a number of comedy bits. Former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno took part, as did Eva Longoria, the star of the new NBC comedy “Telenovela.” William Shatner, Gigi Hadid, and Kylie Jenner also made appearances.
The special was actually taped last month, and was now broadcast less than a week after Buble released his new Christmas song, “The More You Give (The More You’ll Have).” Check out video of the singer’s performance with Dion below, as well as her solo turn on the stage.
