Celine Dion released a tribute video in honor of her late husband Rene Angelil on Saturday, the one year anniversary of his death. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Angelil died on January 14, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He was 73. Days later, Dion’s brother also died of cancer. The double tragedy understandably devastated the singer and her family. But last February, she and eldest son Rene-Charles paid tribute to Angelil during a “Celebration of Life” event in Las Vegas.

Now Dion is remembering her manager and partner once more. In the new montage, Angelil is seen throughout his life, from pictures of him as a baby to footage of his wedding day with Dion to clips of him with their twins, Nelson and Eddy. Twice the couple is seen doing their hand signal for “I love you.”

The video was posted on Dion’s Facebook page with a simple title: “A year has passed.” Her team further wrote, “Today, January 14th, it’s been a year since Rene left us. He will always be in our hearts.” The same statement was used to caption an Instagram photo on Saturday of Dion and Angelil with their arms around one another. Celine Dion does not have a “titanic crush” on songwriter and music producer David Foster, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this off-key report. We are told it’s “ridiculous.”

According to Star, “Dion’s heart is ready to go on with her late husband’s friend David Foster,” who collaborated with the singer on “The Power Of Love” and “Because You Love Me.” A so-called “source close to the singer” tells the tabloid, “David and Celine have been close for 25 years; He’s like family.”

“Celine may be too deep in the friend zone to have a shot with the music mogul,” writes the publication, which notes he recently divorced “Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills” star Yolanda Hadid and is currently with Christie Brinkley. “He’s been in constant contact with Celine since Rene [Angelil] passed away, but he sees her as a friend, not a lover,” says the tabloid’s supposed “source.” The magazines then ends its article with its seemingly made-up insider saying, “When we bring it up, she blushes and says, ‘I love David, but he only dates supermodels.'”

Basically, Star concocted an entirely fictitious story about Dion having a “crush” on Foster, but because it’s not true (and they aren’t going to date), the magazine needed to find an out for itself. That’s why the publication conveniently stated that Foster and Dion are “in the friend zone” and that “he sees her as a friend.” The reality, however, is that Dion does NOT have a crush on her friend. A mutual pal of Gossip Cop and Dion’s assures us the tabloid’s claim is 100 percent “ridiculous.”

To say the outlet has a poor record when it comes to certain stories about Dion is actually being kind. Last year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for a fabricated report that claimed a biopic about Dion was being made by Angelina Jolie. And just two months ago, the magazine wrongly alleged Dion was dating her guitarist Kevin Girouard. Curiously, the outlet made no mention of the guitarist with its latest misstep. Neither of those previous articles were true, and the same goes for the latest one about Dion crushing on Foster.

Celine Dion and Gwen Stefani are teaming up on “The Voice,” and discussed their partnership for the first time in an interview broadcast on Friday’s “Today” show. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop has reported, Stefani is back as a coach for season 12 of the NBC competition, which premieres next month. For the Battle round, she’ll have Dion by her side as the key adviser for her team. “There’s nobody like Celine,” Stefani gushed in the interview.

“To get, like, the prize right here, everybody’s gonna be so mad. The other coaches, I got you,” she boasted. “So excited!” Dion shared that she knows Stefani “very well,” from her music career to her fashion line. And the fandom is clearly mutual.

Stefani said, “I am blown away by her unbelievable story — to end up having this unbelievable gift, to be able to speak through music to the whole world.” And as Dion kept repeatedly breaking into song, the No Doubt front woman amusingly joked, “Her brain, I don’t know what’s going on in there, but it’s crazy inside there.”

Celine Dion did NOT throw a “diva fit” on the set of “The Voice” when she guest-starred on the show, despite a fabricated webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We’re told it’s untrue.

The singer recently appeared on the reality competition series as the mentor for Gwen Stefani’s team, but a so-called “source” tells RadarOnline, “Celine acted like she was a superstar the moment she walked on set to tape her episodes. She was extremely entitled and was just not friendly or welcoming to the production crew at all!”

The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “She had to do several retakes and complained about everything from her hair and make-up, to the outfit that was chosen for her.” Gossip Cop, however, checked in with reliable sources at NBC, who exclusive assures us the site’s story is entirely untrue. We’re told the show’s producers loved working with Dion and wish they had more time to film with her.

Additionally, a rep for Dion exclusively tells us, “She stayed well into the night to help each contestant. The show could not stop shooting because Celine was giving so much.” As for the claim that the singer complained about her wardrobe, we’re told she “makes her own choices regarding clothes,” and the production team never picked out her outfits.

Unfortunately, we’ve repeatedly called out RadarOnline for publishing false stories about the singer, so this latest fabrication isn’t surprising. Gossip Cop previously busted the site for alleging Dion was struggling with extreme weight loss. We also debunked the webloid’s tall tale about Dion having an emotional breakdown. This latest report is equally bogus.

Celine Dion was not a “diva” at the Bee Gees tribute, Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich tells Gossip Cop. We can exclusively debunk a RadarOnline report falsely claiming the superstar was a “total nightmare” at the event. The site apparently didn’t even fact-check its story.

Though CBS’ “Stayin’ Alive: A Grammy Salute To The Music Of The Bee Gees” was filmed several months ago, it’s only now after the special aired that the webloid is suspiciously claiming Dion misbehaved at the star-studded concert. The site quotes an unnamed “on-set snitch” that ridiculously alleges the singer “acted like the tribute was for her.” The outlet’s purported source goes as far as rudely calling Dion a “total b*tch,” and accuses her of making unreasonable demands.

But nothing could be further from the truth, Gossip Cop has learned. Ehrlich tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “The truth is that no artist is ever as cooperative and collaborative as Celine, and it really angers me to see this blind item out there. And on this show, because of the emotional circumstances, she was even more wonderful to work with.”

Another insider close to the situation points out to Gossip Cop, “If there were any issues, they would have come out [when the concert was taped in February], and everyone knows that Celine is one of the nicest people to work with because she does not have diva behaviors. That’s why everyone wants her on their shows.”

Gossip Cop previously called out RadarOnline for trying to peddle similarly untrue allegations about Dion being a “diva” on “The Voice.” Like now, the dubious outlet waited long after the singer filmed her appearance on the singing competition to suddenly claim she acted inappropriately. But it was all a lie, as is this false narrative now about Dion and the Grammys special.

Celine Dion performed “My Heart Will Go On” at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, in honor of the 20th anniversary of Titanic. Check out the video below!

Titanic was released in theaters in December 1997, with “My Heart Will Go On” used as the film’s main theme music. The late James Horner composed the song, Will Jennings wrote the lyrics, and Dion was selected to record it. The track became a worldwide smash, and won honors at the Academy Awards, Golden Globes and Grammys. Two decades later, its legacy as one of the most well-known songs of all time endures.

It was announced earlier this month that Dion was invited to the BBMAs to celebrate the iconic ballad. She said in a statement, “This song means a lot to me, and it has played such a huge role in my career… It’s a great honor to have the opportunity to perform it on the Billboard Music Awards’ international stage, in celebration of the film’s 20th anniversary.”

This is now the second year in a row the superstar has had a big moment at the BBMAs. As Gossip Cop reported last year, Dion received the Icon Award, and gave an incredible performance of “The Show Must Go On,” at the 2016 ceremony. It was the first time she performed on TV since the death of her husband, Rene Angelil, who died earlier in the year. Dion, a six-time Billboard Music Awards winner before then, was honored on stage by the couple’s son Rene Charles, as well as her friend Seal.

Among Dion’s Billboard wins is the 1998 award for Hot Soundtrack Single. That, of course, was given for “My Heart Will Go On.” Prior to tonight, Dion last performed “My Heart Will Go On” for television during the “Greatest Hits” finale last summer. Celine Dion and Cher did not “feud” at the Billboard Music Awards, contrary to a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the story, which was wholly made up.

As Gossip Cop reported, Dion performed “My Heart Will Go On” at the BBMAs on Sunday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Titanic. Cher received the Icon Award, and performed “Believe” and “If I Could Turn Back Time.” All appeared to go down without scandal. But now on Monday, RadarOnline is blaring, “Celine Dion & Cher’s Feud Erupts Backstage At Billboard Music Awards.”

In the accompanying story, the webloid asserts “the divas dueled behind the scenes” and “Dion was so upset about Cher.” What supposedly happened? The site claims Dion was “not happy” backstage when Cher received the Icon Award, which was bestowed upon Dion herself at last year’s Billboard Music Awards. A so-called “source” alleges the two legends have “animosity” and a rivalry because they both have Las Vegas residencies.

And so do Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys. Are Dion and Cher feuding with them, too? No, and they’re not feuding with each other, either. But as far as the BBMAs go, the outlet’s supposed snitch contends Dion “felt like she should have been allotted more time for her performance.” Well, that allegation doesn’t make much sense since the sole purpose of Dion’s performance was to mark the anniversary of Titanic. She performed the theme song its in entirety, so the notion she wanted “more time” is illogical.

This piece seems to be based entirely on two flimsy claims: Dion and Cher have “animosity” because they both have Vegas concert series, and Dion supposedly wanted a longer appearance. Yet nowhere in the article does the publication say how their so-called “feud” erupted backstage, as the headline maintains. In fact, far from there being any evidence of how the pair “dueled behind the scenes,” footage of Dion singing and dancing along backstage to Cher’s performance has gone viral. Gossip Cop suspects the real reason for RadarOnline’s story, aside from wanting to capitalize on interest in the awards show, is the blog just wanted to take yet another inaccurate swipe at Dion. In March, the webloid wrongly accused Dion of throwing a “diva fit” on “The Voice,” and in April the site falsely alleged Dion was a “diva” at the Grammys Bee Gees tribute. Gossip Cop debunked both stories at the time, and it’s awfully suspicious that these claims about the superstar only seem to come from this one outlet, despite being tied to major shows with large media coverage.

It’s a huge indicator of fake news when one publication repeatedly makes allegations that are timed to big events but aren’t backed up by any reputable news sources. So, why has no other outlet reported on Dion and Cher’s feud erupting backstage at the BBMAs? Because it simply didn’t happen. And only RadarOnline is claiming otherwise because the webloid made it up. Though the site is trying to rain on their parade, so to speak, Gossip Cop is told both superstars had a “lovely” time at the event.

“They saw each other in passing as Cher got off the stage and spent about two minutes talking,” a real source who was actually backstage tells Gossip Cop exclusively. “They never saw each other before or after and Celine could not have been happier.” Indeed, check out the videos below.

Celine Dion’s brother Daniel is dying of cancer, Gossip Cop confirms. The sad news comes just one day after the death of Dion’s husband Rene Angelil.

Tragically, now Dion’s rep tells Gossip Cop that Daniel’s death is “imminent.” He is currently in Montreal, where he has been battling cancer in his throat, tongue, and brain. We’re told it “could be hours” or “days” until he succumbs to the illnesses.

Daniel, 59, is one of Dion’s 13 siblings. She is the youngest in their family, which remains based in Canada. Their 89-year-old mother, Therese, is among the relatives currently at his bedside.

Dion was in Nevada Thursday when Angelil, 73, passed away at their Las Vegas home following his own battle with throat cancer. Angelil, whom she wed in 1994, is credited with discovering Dion and turning her into a superstar. He managed her career for decades, before stepping down due to health woes.

Dion and Angelil have three children together, and he also leaves behind adult kids from two previous marriages. In the wake of his passing, the singer has canceled residency concerts scheduled for this weekend, and is not expected to resume her performances until late February. The superstar has not released a public statement, but she has received an outpouring of support from celebrities on social media, where stars have been tweeting their condolences.

Celine Dion will hold a tribute concert in memory of her late husband Rene Angelil at the Caesars Palace Colosseum in Las Vegas on February 3. The event is being dubbed a “Celebration of Life,” in which the singer will honor Angelil’s memory.

As Gossip Cop reported, Angelil died at their Las Vegas home on Thursday following a lengthy battle with throat cancer. He was first diagnosed with the disease in 1998, and his health seemed to have improved until 2014 when the cancer returned.

The 73-year-old former musician discovered Dion when she was just a teen. The two later got married in 1994, and had three children together, Rene-Charles, 14, and 5-year-old twin boys Nelson and Eddy. In Angelil’s obituary, Dion is described as “the great love of his life, the artist for which he had the most respect, the woman who gave him light and happiness until his very last breath.”

Angelil’s funeral will be held at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal, the same cathedral where he and Dion were married 21 years ago. On January 21, there will be a public viewing, where fans can pay their respects to Angelil, followed the next day by a religious ceremony for friends and family. In addition to the children he had with Dion, Angelil is also survived by his three older children from previous marriages.

In addition, Dion is planning to hold a concert in honor of Angelil, who is credited with discovering the singer and turning her into an international music icon as he worked as her manager. The tribute, called a “Celebration of Life, is slated to take place on February 3 at the Caesars Palace Colosseum, where Dion has her residency.

Celine Dion is NOT performing at Rene Angelil’s funeral, despite a fabricated report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. A rep for Dion confirms to us she has no plans to sing at the mournful event.

Not surprisingly, the allegation comes from the fabrication factory known as HollywoodLife. Apparently not even a tragic death is enough to stop the disreputable webloid from spreading false information. In this poorly-reported piece (if the site even bothered to do any reporting at all and didn’t just make it all up), it’s claimed, “Celine plans to declare her love for Rene once more at his funeral with a touching performance dedicated to him and their life together.”

A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “She wants to honor her husband in song and is looking to perform at his funeral.” The story goes on, “Although it is still unclear what song she would sing, sources are speculating that she may perform her love ballad, ‘Because You Loved Me.’ What a perfect, yet heartbreaking choice that would be.”

What’s really heartbreaking here is that HollywoodLies is running a facts-free allegation about a grieving widow. Dion, who lost her brother just two days after Angelil’s passing, and her family have enough to deal with right now without the added nuisance of a bad blog sparking wrong rumors. A rep for the superstar exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “Celine is not performing at the funeral nor was she ever thinking of it.”

What’s more, Gossip Cop also spoke to an insider close to Dion, who further tells us the claim is “totally made up.” “She’s grieving,” our source rightfully points out, expressing disgust with HollywoodLife for its fake “exclusive.” Snipes our contact, “What do they think this is, a concert? Come on!”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Dion is planning to have a separate tribute held in Angelil’s honor next month at an appropriate place and time. The “Celebration Of Life,” to be held at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, is scheduled for February 3. Angelil’s funeral will be held this Friday at Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal, the same church where he and Dion wed. Gossip Cop will continue to have coverage as appropriate.

One last thing: In addition to publishing 100 percent inaccurate information about the funeral, HollywoodLife also had the gall to include a partner link to Amazon encouraging readers to listen to Dion’s music, knowing it would get paid for each click. The outlet, which scrambled to change its story after catching wind of our exclusive bust, is truly the lowest of the low.

Celine Dion is breaking her silence on the death of her husband, Rene Angelil.

As Gossip Cop reported, Angelil died on January 14 after a lengthy battle with cancer. A funeral service, which was live streamed for fans around the world to watch online, took place last Friday (see photo right). Now one week later, Dion is speaking out publicly for the first time.

The superstar says in a statement posted on her official website, “My family and I are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support from so many people who have touched our lives during these past few days. We have felt your love for René, and your prayers and compassion have helped us during this most difficult time… more than you’ll ever know. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“I would also like to sincerely thank the Quebec Government for honoring René with National Funerals as well as the many individuals and organizations who came together to hold such a beautiful tribute in his name,” continues Dion. “We will never forget all of the kindness that you have bestowed upon us.”

Dion signs the note on behalf of her family, including her sons with Angelil (Charles and twins Nelson and Eddy) and the late music manager’s adult children. The singer is expected to partake in a tribute concert to Angelil at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas next week.

Angelina Jolie is NOT planning on making a movie biopic about Celine Dion, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.

According to Star, Jolie believes Dion would make a great subject for a film, and hopes to tell the singer’s life story. A so-called “source” claims in the tabloid, “Angie says the story practically writes itself, from Celine’s childhood singing in dive bars to meeting her future husband, Rene Angelil, when she was 12 and then going on to date him as soon as she was of legal age.”

The tabloid further alleges Jolie is giving Dion time to mourn the recent deaths of her husband, Rene, and brother, Daniel, before making the supposed movie. The magazine’s questionable insider adds, “Celine knows Angie would love to work with her. It’s only a matter of time before they come together and make the film.”

Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Jolie, who exclusively tells us there’s “no truth” to the tabloid’s claim that the actress wants to make a movie about Dion. Jolie is always circling many film projects, but Dion’s life story simply isn’t one of them. And a rep for Dion tells Gossip Cop she “never heard” of the proposed project.

As Gossip Cop reported, Angelil, 73, died on January 14 after a lengthy battle with cancer. A public viewing was held on January 21, with a funeral the following day, January 22. There, the couple’s eldest son, Rene-Charles, gave a touching eulogy in honor of his father.

Dion broke her own silence last week, releasing a statement on behalf of her kids, including twins Nelson and Eddy, and Angelil’s adult children, thanking fans for support. Now, for the first time since his passing, Dion will return to the stage at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace, where she does her residency. This time, however, the superstar will not be singing.

Instead, she will close the memorial by being the evening’s final speaker. Those taking part also include legendary producers David Foster and Ken Ehrlich. Between speakers will be musical interludes. Foster will be among those performing.

Celine Dion spoke about late husband Rene Angelil for the first time at his “Celebration Of Life” ceremony on Wednesday night at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. See the video below of the singer’s touching and emotional tribute speech about Angelil, who she said “loved life” and “never hated anyone.”

As Gossip Cop reported, Angelil died on January 14 at the age of 73 after a lengthy battle with cancer. On January 21, a public viewing was held in Montreal, where fans of the late music manager could honor his memory. The following day, there was a private funeral for friends and family at the Notre Dame Basilica, where the two had wed in 1994.

On Wednesday, Angelil was remembered on the same stage where Dion performs her Las Vegas show. “Let me start by saying, good evening good friends,” the singer began. “Rene, the love of my life, would be so happy to know we are here together. I feel his love in this room.”

Dion continued, “I feel his strength and his warmth being reflected in all of you. Rene always surrounded me with the best people who believed in us and always worked so hard on our behalf.” She then praised her late husband as a man who “never hated anyone,” asking the audience, “Is it possible someone loves everybody? I don’t think so. But he never told me a person he disliked… He loved life so very much.”

The singer fought to hold back tears during her nearly 20-minute speech, and concluded by saying, “On behalf of my family, thank you again for being here for this beautiful tribute of mon amour, Rene, I love you so much. Celine Dion will return to her Las Vegas residency on Tuesday for her first concert since husband Rene Angelil’s death, and Gossip Cop has a live stream. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Angelil died on January 14 at age 73 after a long battle with cancer. Dion immediately postponed her upcoming concerts. Tragically, just two days later, Dion suffered a second loss when her brother Daniel also died of cancer.

Before Angelil’s funeral, Gossip Cop exclusively debunked a report falsely claiming she was planning to perform at the service. It was neither the time nor the place. Dion, however, returned to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the site of her residency, earlier this month.

A special tribute, called a “Celebration of Life,” was held in Angelil’s honor. Again, Dion did not sing, although she sat on stage for the duration of the event and gave a moving speech. Instead, there were musical interludes and a performance by David Foster.

Now Dion will publicly sing her first note since her heartbreaking loss. The superstar’s stage show was heavily conceived by her late husband, who served as her manager until his illness forced him to step down. In his honor, Dion’s concert tonight is expected to start with a 10-minute tribute.

Celine Dion opened up about the heartbreaking death of Rene Angelil in an interview broadcast on Wednesday’s “Good Morning America.” Watch below.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Angelil died of throat cancer in January at age 73. In addition to adult children, he also left behind his three sons with Dion. And just days later, the superstar also lost her brother.

While Dion spoke about the tragic events at a Las Vegas “celebration of life” ceremony in February, the “GMA” interview marked her first time discussing it all on TV. Speaking to Deborah Roberts on her Vegas concert stage, the singer said of her husband’s health battle, “I saw him suffer. And that is worst. Today for me, I don’t wanna say that it’s not as hard. It’s a different kind of hard. Today for me, it’s like I don’t live with him physically, but I live with him inside of me.”

Dion noted her brother passed on Angelil’s birthday, and said she believes, “For his birthday, my husband came and got my brother, because my brother was too weak to fly on his own.” And while she feels Angelil is still guiding her, she admittedly wonders, “Am I going to have signs all the time? Or do I have to make decisions as a woman, as a mother, as artist?”

Roberts asked Dion if she’s “ready for that.” “Do I have a choice?” she responded, seemingly fighting back tears. “You’re never ready for something like this to happen. Even though you expect it, when it happens, you’re not prepared.” Still, Dion says, “I am at peace.”

Celine Dion gave a powerful and emotional performance of “The Show Must Go On” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday. Watch below.

“The Show Must Go On” was recorded in 1990 by Queen as Freddie Mercury became increasingly debilitated from AIDS. Dion started covering the song back in 2008 as a tribute to the late front man, but the track would go on to take new meaning for her as husband Rene Angelil battled cancer. Throughout his troubles, the music manager would continually insist to his superstar wife that “the show must go on.”

She incorporated the track into her Las Vegas residency last year, but never made an official studio recording until after Angelil’s death earlier this year. Featuring violin accompaniment from Lindsey Stirling, the song was released as a digital single this past Friday. It’s unclear if it will also appear on a future album.

Stirling now joined Dion for the BBMAs performance, which marks Dion’s first time performing on TV since Angelil’s passing. And in addition to taking the stage to sing, she was also honored with the Billboard Icon Award. Previous recipients include Jennifer Lopez (2014) and the late Prince (2013). Seal presented the award, and son Rene-Charles surprised his mother by bringing her the trophy.
