Celine Dion is NOT “moving on” with young guitarist, Kevin Girouard, following the death of her husband, Rene Angelil, despite an inaccurate tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
The singer’s husband passed away earlier this year following a long battle with cancer, but according to Star, she’s now ready to start dating again and has an eye on her guitarist. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Celine and Kevin have some serious chemistry, but they’re taking it slow.” The outlet’s dubious insider further notes how it was Angelil who hired Girouard to join Dion’s Las Vegas band, adding, “Celine can’t help but think perhaps Kevin was Rene’s last gift.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Dion, who exclusively assures us there’s no budding romance developing between her and Girouard, and the tabloid’s claim otherwise is simply “not true.” We’re further told the singer’s relationship with the members of her band is purely professional. Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the outlet’s phony report. Gossip Cop previously corrected Star’s sister publication, the National Enqurier, for also falsely claiming Dion was dating Girouard. There was no truth to the story then, and nothing has changed in the time since.
